Cathi Notaro, a long time resident of the artistically vibrant city of Easton, is a contributor to the 35th Annual Historic Easton House Tour.  Her original acrylic and acrylic pen on canvas was used as the signature work for the 2015 tour artwork.  Her painting is inspired by one of the exquisite portals of historic Easton.  At the request of the committee, Cathi has offered this work as part of our annual fund raising event.

Cathi spent decades in business, event planning, and antique restoration and sales.  Now in retirement, she has returned to her first love.  Cathi works in a variety of media and has had a 36 piece art exhibition at the Two Rivers Brewing Company located in Easton, Pa.  She is an active member of arts groups including Paint On, Arts and Hearts International, and Fun with Acrylic Painting.  Cathi is both an artist and an instructor.

 From the artist:

“My method is simple, I go with my heart! I like to try many different media types and often utilize several of those types when creating my paintings.

I am fortunate to have an art studio in my residence and art each and everyday! I recently mentored an art class of 50 participants at the Allentown Museum of History. Aiding those who have never painted, was a shear joy! Many of the participants had no idea how wonderfully they painted!”

The painting, offered at auction, has been donated by Cathi to the annual Historic Easton House Tour. This is first time in 35 years that the artwork used as the tour signature has been offered for sale. The tour is an Easton Main Street Initiative event.  Proceeds go the EMSI, a subsidiary of the Greater Easton Development Partnership and a 501 c 3 organization.
